The Board of Trustees and German-American Hall of Fame supporters wish you a ‘HAPPY GERMAN-AMERICAN DAY’ on October 6th.

German-American Day is celebrated on October 6th, following German Unity Day on October 3rd. It is a national tradition initiated by President Ronald Reagan, who signed a proclamation on October 6, 1987, in Washington, establishing this annual day of celebration. More than 75 million Americans now claim German ancestry.

German Unity Day commemorates 1990 when the former Communist East and the free, democratic West merged into one German nation and Federal entity.
