Chairman, German-American Hall of Fame (GAMHOF)
Ralf G. Bahr is a lifelong entrepreneur whose work covers international finance, real estate, and cultural leadership. He started his first company in Cologne, Germany, in 1976, advising mid- market businesses on strategic planning, international expansion, and financial support. As the founder and CEO of RGB International Group, Bahr specialized in raising private equity capital and assisting clients in entering the U.S. market. In 1981, he relocated to New York, expanding his business to include offices in London and Zurich by the late 1980s.
Throughout the 1980s, RGB managed major projects in the oil, gas, and real estate sectors. Notably, the firm partnered with Goodyear Tire C Rubber Company to acquire, develop, and lease service centers across the United States under a long-term program supported by triple-net leases. In 1990, recognizing opportunities in emerging markets, Bahr established RGB’s Prague office to assist with privatization and restructuring in Central and Eastern Europe.
Bahr later relocated to Florida, where he managed commercial real estate projects and provided consulting for a European merchant bank. In 2004, blending his professional expertise with his personal passion, he co-founded a dealership specializing in classic and exotic automobiles, with a focus on high-end vintage cars. During the pandemic, the dealership closed, and in 2021, he retired to Murfreesboro, Tennessee, to be closer to his family.
A lifelong Porsche enthusiast, he bought his first Porsche in 1972 and has been deeply involved in the Porsche community ever since. As a board member of the Nashville Porsche Club, he organized events and activities for more than 1,000 members. He was recognized in 2025 with the “Enthusiast of the Year 2024” award by the Porsche Club of America, Musik-Stadt Region.
Bahr has long used his international background in board service and nonprofit leadership. He has been a member of the International Society of Financiers, Chairman of the German-American Entrepreneurs Association, a board member and Life Member of the American-German Club of the Palm Beaches, and a member of the Plattdeutsch Home Society in New York. He is also a member of the VDAK/USA Council of One Thousand, part of the United German-American Committee of the USA.
In 2004, Bahr co-founded the German-American Hall of Fame (GAMHOF) with other prominent Americans of German descent, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that recognizes the contributions of German immigrants and their descendants to U.S. history and culture. He currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Trustees.
Born and raised in Germany, Bahr served in the German Air Force and earned a degree in real estate development and finance from Cologne Business School. He became a proud U.S. citizen in 1990 while remaining deeply connected to his German roots.
Beyond his business and community efforts, Bahr enjoys classic car shows and celebrating his dual German-American heritage.
