Dr. Ronald F. Docksai is the former vice president of Federal Government Relations at Bayer Corporation in Washington D.C. His responsibilities include managing Bayer’s Washington, D.C. office as general manager of U.S. federal government relations for Bayer and its commercially separate businesses in healthcare, crop science and polymers. Dr. Ronald F. Docksai also resides as chairman of Bayer’s “Public Policy Advisory Councel/PPAC,” which sets public policy for Bayer Group in the U.S., and serves on Bayer’s political action committee’s Board of directors (BAYPAC).
Prior to working for Bayer, Dr. Ronald F. Docksai was vice-president of government relations for Marion Merrel Dow Inc. and in charge of managing the company’s U.S. federal and state government relations for the Washington D.C. office. He worked at the Department of Health and Human Services from 1985-1988 as Assistant Secretary for Legislation, in the U.S. Senate Committee on Labor and Human Resources as staff director from 1980-1985, and as a Healthcare Legislative Counsel from 1977-1980 for Senator Orrin H. Hatch. Dr. Ronald F. Docksai was also the U.S. Health Policy Director for the U.S. House of Representatives from 1974-1977 and served for one year in the United States Army with an honorable discharge as captain.
Dr. Ronald F. Docksai received his B.A. in political science at St. John’s University in New York City, an M.P.A. in public administration/health and an M.A. in international relations from New York University. He also earned his Ph.D. in government at Georgetown University in Washington D.C. Dr. Ronald F. Docksai is married and has one son.
