Based in Washington, DC, Peter is the lead federal, state, and municipal affairs representative for NXP, a global leader in the design and production of silicon chips for a broad spectrum of applications. Peter’s mission is to help NXP and its public and private partners give life to the promise of a smarter, safer, and more efficient connected future.
Peter has operated at the nexus of industry and government in the Nation’s capital for over two decades. His work blends business development, public affairs, and lobbying activities, spanning a range of technology issues including: smart cities, connected and autonomous vehicles, advanced secure manufacturing, the Internet of Things, and cybersecurity.
He previously worked in the medical device and biotechnology industries, and served as both legal counsel and government affairs lead in the Washington DC office of Europe’s leading industry association, the Federation of German Industries. A dual national and native speaker of English and German, Peter studied literature, the sciences, and law in the US and Germany, receiving his juris doctorate from the SMU Dedman School of Law with specializations in international and patent law.
