Henry Kissinger, Born May 27, 1923 Fürth, Germany

The Board of Trustees of the German-American Hall of Fame extends heartfelt 97th birthday wishes to the remarkable Dr. Henry Kissinger.

We at GAMHOF were proud to induct Dr. Kissinger into the Hall of Fame in 2014.    Dr. Kissinger, born in Furth, Bavaria, escaped the Nazi regime and served in the US Army during World War II.  He became a world-renowned author and Harvard academic in the 1950s.   His brilliance and expertise in foreign policy were recognized by Presidents Nixon and Ford, and Dr. Kissinger was tapped first as the White House National Security Advisor and then as U.S. Secretary of State.

In the decades since, his Kissinger & Associates has become one of the world’s most respected geopolitical consulting firms, serving the largest and most well-known corporations and interests, as well as top business leaders.   Dr. Kissinger remains a coveted source of guidance and counsel to many of the world’s leaders.    He is a co-founder of the American Academy in Berlin, and speaks at its annual “Kissinger Prize” ceremonies in Berlin.

At 97, Henry Kissinger shows no signs of slowing down, and we at GAMHOF salute him for that and for his irreplaceable service to the United States and to the cause of world peace.

Happy Birthday – Herzlichen Glückwunsch zum Geburtstag.
